Discovering a treasure
God of fire. A flaming, one-eyed Cyclops, a gentle giant... Mount Etna dominates all of Eastern Sicily with its massive size. Its eruptions leave behind a layer of black stone that makes this land exceptionally fertile.
And from the lava, magnificent flowers are born. These are the creations of the Artesole Atelier in Giarre, which, through the highly skilled hands of expert creators, transforms volcanic basalt into true works of art. That material, which to many appears gray, shapeless, and soulless, turns into astonishing creations.

Enter the heart of creation: from raw basalt to the finished work.
Mount Etna is not just a volcano, it is an inexhaustible source of a unique raw material. It is from basalt that the Artesole atelier derives its creations, in a mix of art and technology.
You can witness all of this firsthand. Between a visit to the decoration department (where you'll observe the creative cycle) and a walkthrough of the showroom, you'll be accompanied by one of our experts who will illustrate the techniques and secrets of glazed lava stone.
An eternal material: it withstands temperatures of 1000°C, atmospheric agents, and the test of time.
